Microsoft Remote Desktop 8.0 Mac Download

Microsoft Remote Desktop 8.0 has been working without any problems but now can no longer connect to my Windows 10 Pro (Version 1709 Build 16299.309) machine. Attempts to connect via a previously successful connection profile and a newly created one all fail with 'Unable to connect to remote PC. Please verify Remote Desktop is enabled, the Remote PC is turned on and available on the network, and then try again.' The Windows PC is correctly configured and the iOS Remote Client connects normally to the same Windows 10 device.
File share connections are also working correctly between the Windows 10 and OS X devices. Deleting the Microsoft Remote Desktop 8.0 client from the Mac OS X device and reinstalling doesn't change the outcome. Was there recent Windows 10 update that might account for this break in functionality?

When the download as finished an installer will appear to take you through the process of installing macOS Sierra. You can see the progress of the download from the 'Purchases' tab.

The error code is due to NLA, which you can disable on windows 10, by going to the System properties for Remote Access, Remote Desktop, on the windows 10 machine, you should at that point be able to go to the RDP settings and uncheck the box for 'Allow connections only from computers running Remote desktop with NLA' That should fix the error code. Assuming it's actually the culprit and not just a generic filler error. EDIT: NOTE: There appears to be a bug in 1709, with the latest KB that is resolved in 1803 with a specific KB rollup for May. I am not 100% sure this is your issue, but that sounds similar. I wonder if rolling up to 1803 and running the latest security updates will resolve the issue.
